so either they stay out and I will manage the naming
I am not rich enough to just buy everyone out and put it here
the total fund and museum was $100M of USD
i cannot afford to do it myself
ideally, I would find people to fund getting the existing stuff into there too
so we start that now
now I see the basis for what can be truly a permanent collection - it would need to be governed by TDH etc etc
and run around buying NFTs with it
but in 2021 i had no idea how to take my friends money except to incorporate an LLC and give them units
of how to do the things I wanted to do in 2021
having now developed a much more robust idea
and now I am saying
we have to pick up the pace
which is the most ridiculous start up pitch of all time
with my friends in the 6529 museum OG edition, I told them "don't ask me when I am going to sell, I may never sell, you will only get money if I sell which I am telling you I may not do ever"
and this time I want to go all the way
who are here in this chat
I would like to buy some NFTs with my new friends
now, separately, years later
and some money from friends
I took tens of millions of my money, I bought NFTs
the 6529 Museum predated the meme cards, the ideas here and so on
i don't understand what you are saying
any more than google copied the NY Times
not because we should "copy it"
MoMA is only good as inspiration
well because right now we have 0.000001% of the brand recognition and prestige of the MoMA so we need to be more innovative and use NFTs to do something that is native to our medium

from my 2021 initial prez
this should be the goal
- can i contribute my artist proceeds of a meme cards to buy art for "all of us" -> yup seems easy
- do I think others might do this? yup, seems plausible
- ok i will give $100K to this museum. ok, I like this
- will anyone else do it? I am not sure yet. the proposition needs refinement. giving $100K or $10M or $100M to the Met has a lot of built up cultural and social value. we are not the met, we cannot catch up to the met so it needs to be done differently
it has just been my logical progression
anyway this does not need to be solved now
easy
i actually think there is an answer to the question but it is not super eary
why should someone (Bob) spend their money to build cultural value for a network collection that @[RegularDad] is a 'stakeholder' in but did not put any money
yes, you did misunderstand it. I raised $7M for the Goose. at some point I will need to sell the Goose. Unlike the Tulip that I do not need to sell because the Tulip I did with my money.
And I am asking the question out loud is there a model that I could go to a group of people and say "let's buy it from the current owners but this time send this to this SAFE that will never sell it" and it will be collectively owned by the 6529 Network, not by 6529 Museum LLC, not by me, not by 6529 Fund 1 but buy an onchain network
so it is an interesting and hard question. it is interesting and hard because it is voluntary
it is a different question
and this is not a substitute for the meme cards
I am asking the question of "how do we do $100M"
we are doing a few million a year
I am credible on this topic
I have without any doubt whatsoever raised more money to put into NFTs than anyone in the world, starting with mine but also others
and the question I am asking myself is "what would it take to get other people to put money real amounts of money to lock NFTs up forever"
and let you guys pick what to buy with the money
i committed 2 weeks ago to putting $100K of money into the network museum
dude nobody is going to need to buy anything from anyone
or "artists with no secondary market"
