how this maps to physical world is harder
so the digital/crypto version is solved/solvable
the interesting question is how you can port this into physical world
post decentralization
this is our core defense asset
attacker has to comprise large diverse group simultaneously
defender has advantage
and very very very very powerful
technically speaking
within a visible roadmap
this is doable
hold this naka in a at least 300M TDH consensus contract
on crypto defenses
i think the network can be very reslient
fuzzy in my brain
do you think our personal defense from physical attacks will come from the network itself?
maybe. though i think it is human cope
I think he believes that the human brain, if enhanced, could have potential even beyond that of an artificial ASI, since ASI is ultimately created based on current human knowledge and capabilities. That’s the impression I got.
the freedom vs safety dynamic is going to get very acute
i also think quite adversarial in some ways
i don't think people realize how weird it is going to get
this world is coming this decade
without waiting for your slow-ass, sleeping showering eating distracted human brain to give instructions
and it can handle it itself
"make sure to keep the bad guys out of the houes"
can't you tell it
if it is an ASI
why does it need access to your brain
Something like an ASI in your brain
20 hours of the same zoom (or Teams!) call on top of the regular schedule
its been rough
You can shoot me now. Damn
except slowing the computers down
it is unclear to me that the human in this model adds anything
Speaking of this, I listened to a couple of interviews with Paolo Ardoino (Tether) really out of the ordinary. He was talking about Tether’s recent investment (something like 200M USD) in a company competing with Neuralink, and he predicted as certain that neural upgrades will happen within the next 10 years. Everyone will have an implanted chip that will ‘enhance’ cognitive functions to turn humans into super-humans capable of: 1) using AI tools quickly and effectively, and 2) drastically increasing productivity/efficiency for their government/authority. 3) 'fight' against rival super-humans
before someone else breaks in
and patch them
i think i would need an ASI running in my own house trying to hack my own cameras in advance
vs an ASI
i don't see how i could do it human level
there are a lot of things to monitor
dunno
(cyber secure, not physically secure)
could i make my house secure
but also living a somehow normal or "normal" life
assume high budget high tech savvy (me)
so i think to myself
not if they make it in
it will be a miracle if they don't make it in
1/ your ISP's gear
2/ your consumer networking gear
3/ your / your family's / your guests phones and computers and ipads, probably not fully patched
4/ a bunch of IoT stuff
like think about your house
what chance are they going to have against ASI level probing, zero days, social engineering and phishing
people can barely (or not) keep their systems safe against human attackers
if undefended
