how you use TDH to prevent "block production centralization"
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195889 2025-07-19 11:47
need to check performance requirements, how you round robin

and others just check the proof
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195886 2025-07-19 11:47
but with ZKP you can actually just have one node at any time create the proof
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195885 2025-07-19 11:47
the consensus mechanism: you can do VRF with validation by all nodes

that is it

max is probably: The Memes, Gradients, NextGen and Stream and the min is The Memes and Gradients and we treat NextGen and Stream as shadow

another reason to not have a lot of collections that are protocol collections
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195881 2025-07-19 11:45
so they live in parallel
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195880 2025-07-19 11:45
1/ we probably need to run the collections (the main ones) bridgeable to our own chain just in case ETH mainnet gas gets out of control

we need to push the envelope now on the TDH / Edition Size / AL / Shadow TDH topic

bc the BTC people are very obviously OG boomers who have no plans to touch anything meaningful in the chain

punk6529 Memes-Chat Reply #195855 2025-07-19 11:42
yes but the security mechanism is TDH
Context from MoMO #195853 2025-07-19 11:41
Ok yes. got it. So not TDH calc logic per se, but you’re deciding on the architecture of the new chain.
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195852 2025-07-19 11:41
the hardest one being ZKP
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195851 2025-07-19 11:41
are whole universes of decisions
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195850 2025-07-19 11:41
but behind that simple statement
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195849 2025-07-19 11:41
in principle those incentives will be "round robin weighted by TDH" block creation and you get a fungible token that can be used for gas etc
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195848 2025-07-19 11:40

the biggest hardest topic is consensus mechanism, ZKP and bridging in and out of L1s/L2s
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195843 2025-07-19 11:39
it is extra TDH of some type
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195842 2025-07-19 11:39
your TDH is still where it was
punk6529 Memes-Chat Reply #195841 2025-07-19 11:39
it is not wrapped though
Context from RegularDad #195839 2025-07-19 11:39
Instead of “Shadow TDH”, why not “wrapped TDH” like term used for fungible coins?
punk6529 Memes-Chat Reply #195840 2025-07-19 11:39
the biggest hardest topic is consensus mechanism, ZKP and bridging in and out of L1s/L2s
Context from MoMO #195838 2025-07-19 11:37
The logic that’s there now seems to be enough. Apart from locking in the formula for edition sizes, and then the boost discussion earlier, what else do you see changing at the protocol level? The shadow TDH etc. seems more to be like tooling on top - for better and better decision making, which guess would continue. It doesn’t fundamentally alter the TDH calc. Also the logic on 2x of total memes TDH for the universe of possibility is already a logic, right? one can potentially do the calculation and prioritize things under that hard cap. So it’s still decision making, not protocol logic changing.
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195837 2025-07-19 11:36
these are the things we need to think through carefully
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195836 2025-07-19 11:36
or maybe the TDH will start pulling them into the alignment with the network
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195835 2025-07-19 11:36
maybe they will act maliciously
punk6529 Memes-Chat #195834 2025-07-19 11:36
I have no idea how that person will act
