we could also show some of what is on the other side
something something "what is on the other side and very exciting" and something something "we do not ask for any transaction, just a signature"
the issue is that it is intimidating, has no call to action, will scare people who are afraid to connect their wallet, does not talk about benefits on the other side

I am not sure how this is relevant to the narrow question. the narrow question is this: i give 100 proxy rep to @[maybe]
1/ he can give +50 to @[simo] and + 50 to @[GelatoGenesis]. this is ok, we all agree
2/ he can give +50 to @[simo] and -50 to @[GelatoGenesis]. this is also OK, we all agree
3/ he accidentally gives +50 to @[simo] and then takes out -50 to @[simo] to to reverse his mistake. what we are discussion if in scenario #3 if he has used 100 proxy rep or 0 proxy rep. I think the case that this is 0 is reasonable and more intuitive

About the "REP X Proxy X Credit Boundaries thing". Now I remembered the original reasoning behind it. And the more I'm thinking how to change it the more I understand how the original reasoning made sense. So let me write it out here:
1. You ARE giving someone a proxy grant to REP on your behalf with 1000 units of REP.
2. You are NOT giving someone 1000 units of TDH to use as REP as they please.
Those are two very different things and currently @maybe is assuming (2) not (1).
The proxy feature was never meant as a way to give away yourleftover REP to someone so they could use it instead. It was meant to give someone limited privileges to log in as you and act on your behalf. And the credit system was put to place so the grantee wouldn't step out of line and ruin everything you've build by giving out REP.
If we would change it to "here is X units of REP I wont use anyway, so you use it" then it would be a very different thing. More like xTDH or smth. And then it would not act as a guardrail for proxy privileges.

this is very non-trivial at the moment.
it give a focus and a cadence
and so on
then the next day you pick another page
you have to make 4 bullet points call to action for the login page
you do not need to group rewrite the whole site at once
I think this is a good suggestion by me
so long as you take one 1 topic per day
and you can do it
i think it is manageable
guys, right now the model is:
- 100 people bombard the devs with 100 ideas, sometimes contradicting and mostly "devs do something"
- for some substep of ideas, primarily communication oriented, fight it out among yourselves and propose a common text
- the first task is "login page for wallet" - new text
- Is it going to be hard to corral everyone's ideas - it sure is
- Will everyone agree on direction - nope
- do any of these things change if @[simo] has to integrate all your ideas? also no

I don't think they will give website access, It's just a place to discuss ideas I think as a collective and then if it's worth it then it will move to the devs?
so the goal is output there
not just another place to tell the Devs what to do

This is more for ideas to improve UI, Add text to make it easier for newcomers etc. So that people can hash out ideas before going to the developers to not put more "load" on them than needed
